Four games at home and four away. Every point counts in a single 36-club table.
The top eight go straight to the round of 16. Clubs finishing 9th to 24th enter the play-offs.
Two-legged ties, then a single final at a neutral venue. Extra time and penalties if needed.
The Champions and Europeans winners qualify for The Champions the following season.
